Born to the family of His Excellency Dr. Ikedi Ohakim and Her Excellency (Barr.) Chioma Ohakim, he is married to Lady (Barr.) Obiageli Ohakim and they are blessed with two sons.

 

Franklyn Obinna Ohakim is a dynamic Nigerian entrepreneur, technology expert, and security professional. He currently serves as the Director and Business Development Executive at Samm Cooper Security Services Limited and holds a Board Member position at Mekahog Limited. With a robust background in computer science and business administration, Franklyn has consistently leveraged his expertise across various sectors including information technology, cybersecurity, and climate advocacy.

 

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Coventry University, UK, and an MBA from Lagos Business School. His professional development includes specialized certifications from institutions such as Harvard Business Publishing Education, the United Nations Department of Safety and Security, and the University of Michigan, with a focus on negotiation, crisis response, and climate change legal frameworks.

 

Franklyn's career spans multiple leadership roles, including his  time  as  Executive  Director  at  Worldview  Integrated Technologies Limited and IT Analyst for the Imo State Government House, where he contributed to key technological advancements like the Imo State Wi-Fi Project. He also spearheaded the Nigeria Interactive Multimedia project, endorsed by Nigeria's Ministry of Information and Communication and the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC).

 

In addition to his professional achievements, Franklyn is a Knight of St. Christopher and is actively involved in community initiatives, notably as Chairman of Maxwell Football Academy in Imo State. His career is marked by a commitment to innovation, strategic growth, and service excellence across both private and public sectors.
